Pentax K10D file numbering:
Just got my K10D back from repairs and they took 40 odd pics with it under test.
I wanted to get the number back to where it was so i took a pic, chucked it in the card reader and renamed it then put the card back in the camera and took a second pic.
On my older cameras this way worked fine but in this case the K10D remembered the higher number.
I found the cure was to take the first pic and rename it then go to menu>memory>"untick" file number> ok
then take that second pic.
Then go back and tick the file number again.
My file numbering is back in sequence again !
